On 14th January 2019 Mr. Sirisena Gamage, the chairman of UKFG, ceremoniously handed over the brand new badminton court to the delighted children of Ovitigamuwa school Kamburupitiya . This is the fourth generous donation of a Badminton court by Mr Neil Carson and family. The court is named after Carson’s two sons Peter and Phillip Director of sports for Mulatiyana District Mr PKP Deshapriya. School principals of Massmulle, Sapugoda Rathanapala and Thumbe ,Mr Ananda and Mr Laksiri Hewavidana were among the VIPS . After the opening, there was three hours of beautiful singsongs and colorful dances by delightful children Accepting the gift, Mr Ananda Wijesingha school principal of Ovitigamuwa expressed his utmost gratitude to Carson family and Hewavidana family for the continuous support and all the donations they had made to the schools in the area. Mr Sirisena Gamage thanked the Carson family and explained how much difference the badminton court would make to the physical and mental health of the children.
