Ulalla Central College at Kamburupitiya experienced an unforgettable day. At the invitation of Mr. Devsiri Hewavidana, founder of UKFG , Mr Colin and Miss Marion, a couple from London, visited the school. The students welcomed them at the gate with a beautiful bouquet.
They received a warm reception at the principal’s office, where a cake was cut to celebrate Mr Colin and Miss Marion’s engagement . Then the students Dressed in elegant attire, showed their talents by performing various cultural dances and singsongs . Their performances were met with immense appreciation, and the couple watched the dances with smiles .
Mr. Colin, addressing the gathering, remarked that the school was very beautiful and expressed their happiness at seeing the smiles on the students’ faces. Amid the applause, Mr Colin promised to return with Miss Marion in a couple of years with gifts to the children . The event concluded with another beautiful dance performance by two other students. The principal, faculty, and all the students agreed that the day was truly memorable..

උල්ලල දරුවන් බැලීමට එංගලන්තයෙන් පැමිණි කොලින් හා මේරියන් යුවල
ගාලුමිතුරු පදනමේ නිර්මාතෘ දෙව්සිරි හේවාවිදාන මහතාගේ ඇරයුමෙන් ලන්ඩන් නුවර දානපතීන් දෙදෙනෙකු වන කොලින් හා මේරියන් දෙපළ උල්ලල මහා විද්‍යාලය නැරඹීමට පැමිණි 2025 පෙබරවාරි 5 වන දා දරුවන්ට අමතක නොවන දිනයක් වීය.
එම පාසලේ දරුවන් උල්ලල පාසලේ දරුවන් ඔවුන්ව ප අලංකාර මල් කළඹකින් ඔවුන්ව පිළිගත්තේ පැමිණ සිටි සැමෝගෙම අත්පොළසන් මැද්දේය. ඉන්පසු ගරු විදුහල්පතිතුමාගේ කාර්යාලයට පැමිණි එම දෙපළ ගුරු මණ්ඩලය විසින් ඉතාමත් ගෞරවයෙන් පිළිගන්නාලදී . සීගිරි ගල මුදුනේදී දිවා හා ගිවිසගත් කොලින් හා මේරියන් දෙපළට උණුසුම් සුබ පැතුම් එක් කළ ගුරු මණ්ඩලය ඉතා ලස්සනට නිපදවා තිබූ කේක් ගෙඩිය කැපීමට එම අය යුවළට ආරාධනා කළේය. ඉන්පසු තම දරුවන්ගේ දස්කම් නැරඹීමට විදුහලේ එළිමහන් රඟහලට පැමිණෙන එලෙස ගරු විදුහල්පතිතුමා ඔවුනට ආරාධනා කළේය.
උල්ලල පාසලේ දරුවන්ද නැටුම් ගී හා සින්දු වලින් ඔවුන්ගේ මනහර දක්ෂතා එම දෙපළට පෙන්වූහ අලංකාර ඇඳුම් වලින් සැරසී ඉදිරිපත් කළ නර්ථනයන් දුටු එම දෙපළ ඉමහත් ප්‍රබෝධයට පත්වෙමින් සිනාමුසු මුහුණෙන් යුතුව ඒවා ඉතා ආසාවෙන් නැරඹීය. උත්සවය ඇමතූ කොලින් මහතා මේ පාසල ඉතා සුන්දර පාසලක් බවත් පාසලේ දරුවන්ගේ මුහුණුවල නිති රැඳී තිබෙන සිනාව දැක ඔවුන් ඉතා සතුටු වූ බවත් පැවසුවේ ය. තවත් වසර දෙකකින් පමණ තමා මේරියන් මැතිනිය සමග ආපසු උල්ලල පාසැලට පැමිණෙන්නේ තෑගි ගොඩක් රැගෙන බව කොලින් මහතා පැවසුවේ දරුවන්ගේ අත් පොසන් නාදය මැද්දේය
උල්ලල දරුවන් සියලුම දෙනාටම එදින තම පාසැල් ජීවිතය තුළ කවදාවත් අමතක නොවන දිනයක් වන බව නව යුවළට සමු දෙමින් ගරු විදුහල්පතිතුමා පැවසීය
